People living with overweight or obesity are more likely to experience obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). For people with obesity, a weight loss of 10% to 15% has been shown to reduce the symptoms of OSA by up to 50%.1, 2
We are researching if a monthly GLP-1 RA study medicine can help improve symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea OSA in people living with overweight or obesity.
Participating in these studies
We invite you to explore our clinical trials for people living with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and overweight or obesity. With your help, we can advance research that may expand treatment options for people looking for ways to manage their weight and OSA symptoms.
Before you decide to participate in one of our clinical trials, the study doctor and their team will review the clinical trial details with you, including what you can expect during the clinical trial, the length of participation, and potential risks and benefits.
Each clinical trial will have its own unique requirements for who may participate (eligibility criteria). To learn more about the requirements for a clinical trial that is actively recruiting, visit the clinical trial’s webpage below. Only the study staff can determine if you qualify to enroll in a clinical trial.

Vesper-OSA weight management clinical trials
We are researching if a monthly GLP-1 RA study medicine can help improve symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in people living with overweight or obesity who are using a breathing machine (PAP therapy).
We are researching if a monthly GLP-1 RA study medicine can help improve symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in people living with overweight or obesity who are not using a breathing machine (PAP therapy).
What to expect
If you decide to join one of the Vesper-OSA studies, your participation will last about 63 weeks and includes up 17 visits.
You will be randomly assigned (like pulling a number out of a hat) to receive either the study medicine or a placebo (no active medicine). Both are given as injections under the skin.
The study medicine is a GLP-1 RA (glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist). It mimics the effects of a hormone in your body called GLP-1 that helps control your appetite. The study medicine is designed to be long acting, which may allow people to achieve their weight loss goals with only 1 dose per month once they reach their target dose.
Your health and OSA symptoms will be carefully monitored throughout the study. You will also receive guidance on diet, exercise, and lifestyle from a team of weight loss specialists, and a variety of tools to support you every step of the way.
There is no cost to participate, and health insurance is not required. You may be reimbursed for study-related expenses, such as parking and other transportation costs.
