The Pfizer Clinical Research Unit in New Haven is conducting a clinical trial of a combination of 2 study drugs for the potential treatment of certain types of tumors associated with cancer. This trial will look at the effects of the study drugs with and without food, and when combined with an additional medication.
The study drugs in this trial are being evaluated together for the treatment of certain types of tumors associated with cancer. Millions of people are diagnosed with cancer every year. Affected patients need effective and safe treatments, and healthy volunteers are a vital part of developing these medicines.

Who may participate

This study is seeking healthy adult volunteers, meaning that the participants will not have the condition being studied and are in overall good health. In addition to the criteria listed, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Willing to take a study drug
- Willing and able to come to our facility in New Haven, CT*
- Willing and able to comply with all study procedures

Each clinical study has its own guidelines for who can participate, called eligibility criteria. However, only the research study staff can determine if you qualify to enroll in the study.
What to expect
If this study may be a fit for you, you’ll be invited to a screening visit at our facility in New Haven, CT. If you qualify for the study, there may be a period of up to 28 days before dosing.
If you choose to participate, you will stay at our facility for 17 overnights. The morning after admission, you will receive a single dose of the study drug combination (2 study drugs) as tablets to swallow, with or without food. About 5 days later, you will receive another dose of the study drug combination, with or without food. Then, after another 4 days, you will begin receiving twice daily doses of an additional medication, up to 7 times. On the morning that you receive the 7th dose, you will also receive a final dose of the study drug combination. This last dose will be given without food. This is being done to see if the medication has any impact on the effect of the study drugs.
Throughout the study, staff will closely monitor your health status and collect data, such as the levels of the study drug in your blood.
