For a limited time, new participants can receive a special bonus
Who may participate
Clinical trials are key to developing potential life-changing treatments for people across the globe. But they can't happen without participants. Thank you for taking time to consider if study participation is right for you.
This study is seeking healthy adult volunteers, meaning that the participants will not have the condition being studied. In addition to the criteria listed, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Willing to take a study drug
- Able to meet all study visit requirements
- Willing to travel to and stay at our facility in New Haven, CT
There are other requirements for participation in this study. The study staff will explain these to you during the screening process.
Do you know someone who may meet these requirements? Refer a friend and you may be eligible to receive a bonus.
Each clinical study has its own guidelines for who can participate, called eligibility criteria. However, only the research study staff can determine if you qualify to enroll in the study.
What to expect
If this study may be a fit for you, you’ll be invited to a screening visit at our unit in New Haven, CT.
If you qualify, you will be asked to stay at the PCRU for the duration of the study. After check-in, you will receive a dose of a medication that acts to boost the effect of the study drug. The next day, you will receive additional doses of this boosting drug as well as doses of the study drug or a placebo. This will repeat up to 4 times with 5 days between each dosing period. All medications are taken by mouth.
Throughout the study, staff will closely monitor your health status and collect data, such as the levels of the study drug in your blood. All of the procedures will be clearly explained to you during screening. You may also read about them in the consent form below.
1 follow-up call, about 4 weeks after the last dose
Some studies require the study team to stay in contact with the participant for a period of time after the participant completes the main part of the study. This long-term follow up is to collect additional information on the study drug over time.
